Who is a Candidate for Pelvic Unleveling?

Those who experience pain or discomfort in their lower back, hips, and pelvic area may benefit from pelvic unleveling. However, a consultation with our Frisco, TX experts is needed to determine whether an individual displays issues involving the pelvis. We consider factors such as age, lifestyle, medical history, and level of physical activity to determine your eligibility for pelvic unleveling. Whether you are an athlete, a weekend warrior, or someone who simply wants to improve their posture and mobility, our team can evaluate your unique needs and provide the best care.

What Is Pelvic Unleveling?

To put it straightforward, pelvic unleveling is a muscular imbalance surrounding the pelvic region.

There are two causes of pelvic unleveling: anatomical asymmetry and functional imbalance.

Anatomical asymmetry is a result of uneven growth discrepancies among lower extremities such as the legs as well as irregular growth from fracture healing. The more common cause is a functional imbalance, such as misalignment of pelvic joints, injured or weakened pelvic muscles, and even foot pronation and knee rotation.

Treatment Options for Pelvic Unleveling

Our chiropractic team in Frisco is able to manage both types of pelvic unleveling, including:

  • Anatomical Asymmetrical Unleveling - For pelvic unleveling resulting from anatomical abnormalities, our pain management facility provides orthopedic devices such as orthotics as well as heel lifts to help properly align your entire body structure.
  • Functional Imbalance - For more common instances involving functional imbalance, our dedicated care providers employ chiropractic manipulation for realignment, in addition to rehabilitative exercise routines for reinforcement of your affected muscles.

My PA Erica has been absolutely amazing in the last 4 years of treatment of my chronic pain. The office staff are great, and the entire team is a pleasure to work with. I know seeing all excellent reviews seems "fake" but they truly are great and caring. They listen to your concerns, help evaluate medical tests together with you, and most importantly (again) LISTEN to you. My previous pain management doctor were judgmental and made me feel bad for being in pain at my age. I'm glad I was referred to Lewis Pain.

Dr Lewis is the best pain management Dr I have ever seen. Back injections by other Drs only lasted about a week and the pain returned. My last injection by Dr Lewis was 3 months ago and still no pain. He is the best and his bedside manner is also top notch. And the entire staff is friendly and efficient, office runs very smoothly. They even provide leather power recliners for their patients in every exam room!
